Happy new year!
It's been a while since I last updated so thought I might as well.
Decided to get a full time job to replace my current freelance ways. While feelance is nice, flexible and pays well I just don't have enough customers to really make it worthwhile. :( Got a few interviews comming up so I've gone back to short hair and clean shaven which will probably only last until I've been in a job for 3 months :)
Finally getting the hang of Go, won my first online game 2 days ago. It took me long enough I've been loosing every game for the last 2 months. admitedly Civ 4 did distract me for quite a while. |

[Jan. 17th, 2005|04:44 pm] |
Spent a fair bit of time on saturday learning how to burn split avi's to a single dvd movie with title menu and subtitles, It's a bloody pain in the arse and is very time consuming (for some reason (probably doing it wrong)you need to manually realign the audio track, then sync the subtitles)
This has however, given me a most entertaining idea -
Movioke - make a dvd full of clips, strip off the voices from the audio track, add subtitles, plug in a mic then you and your friends do the voices to famous scenes or even entire movies :)
Oh yes, and you thought karaoke was bad enough :) |

| | Cher - Song for the Lonely | ] | I've had an exellent start to the new year - I spent all day watching All purpose cultural cat girl Nuku Nuku and found another boxing manga called katsu, not nearly as good as Hajime no Ippo but still entertaining. Got a new bit for my computer - a nice widescreen tv (twas borken goig to be binned, fixed it with naught but a screwdriver and my pinkie:) )It seems to display a nice crip image at moderate resolution, now if I can only balance it on top of my moniter I wil be very happy. |

So I guess i'll be spending tonight installing Windows and tomorrow beating it into a nice stable OS that does what I want, then on sunday install Linux and all will be happy again.
Saw Ju-On:The Grudge on wed, not bad - one of the better ghost films I've seen, well worth a watch. |

| | bored | ] | Watched the marrige of figaro today and yet again managed to miss the first act and part of the second. It's a shame really because the bloke playing the count gave a wonderful performance.
I do beleive my primary hard drive is dying, access times have tripled with less than 3 % fragmentation, 40% free space and no problems showing up under any diagnostc software . Oh well, it's a good excuse as any to go shopping for new hardware :)
I now have all of Farscape on my computer, thought I'd watch the whole thing again before the new mini series is shown later this year. On a side note there is a new series of Stargate starting on the 16th called Stargate:Atlantis or somthing like that. |

On a side note anyone know where I can get a dvd of Mr Vampire 3?
Flatmate just got a new bit of furniture - A bloody HUGE dark grey resin Dressing table with gothic dragon decorations all over it. It's so big it has to go in the hall - outside my door. I'm fairly sure she's becoming obsessed, last month it was the chess table, before that the alter, table and mirror and let's not forget the bloody huge throne either(all resin and same style). If it keeps up at this rate the only space in the house will be my room. |

Tis now the tommorrow of yesterday I check my mail and find a huge parcel type thang, looking inside I find a huge questionaire - at least big enough to beat someone to death with. Looking closer I find an envelope also enclosed and within it a nice thankyou letter and money.... WoW.
Even better is that the questionare's only thompson telephone directory size because the pages are all thick card.
Started playing around with the Lightwave 8 medeler, many kickass features have been added since the last one I had v6 I think. Now all I have to do is remember what all the bloody transformations do. |

Another site of interest for godly folk is http://www.landoverbaptist.org/beliefs.html "Please note - If you do not have the same beliefs as we do, you are going to burn in Hell forever." More than worth a look. :)
Saw Shrek 2 earlier today, It's not bad, but prefered the first one. The plotline seems really familiar but I can't remember from where. |

As I believe in fair play all I ask is a small essay on why I am so great and why you love me. But I also belive in cheating so bribery attempts will be welcome.
The closing date for applications is 20th June.
I also have two flyers for half price tickets for the runners up.
MWHAHA MWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHA *Insert roll of thunder*

I am cheerful and bouncy for no reasonable reason again. It's been going on for some time now, I thought about going to the doctor but I don't think bouts of happiness are a recognised medical problem.
My life has been uneventful Wed, went to hollyrood, quite a good night. Many fun people turned up. Thu, squeeky_jane cooked food for me, I'm impressed - no food poisoning, Then went to nexus, not bad but not good either, Fri, am going to jetgrrrl's birthday bash. Sat, After reviewing my options and after much consideration I have decided to return to the mission after successfully managing to avoid it for many months now |

Also who was the sailor bloke that proved mathmatically that the world was flat? (can't miss him out can I?) |

Added festivals and holidays to my religion though, and the 25th of June is Buy your God a drink day. Unfortunately I appear to have forgotten just who most of my worshipers are.
I hate progress bars, Cold Fusion is at 31% and still has 1 1/2 hours left. grrrrrr.
